SPURS RESURRECTION
14.12.02 Previous Page Next Page

As the saying goes, lightning never strike twice.  Therefore this Sunday at White Heart Lane, Spurs will be craving for Gunners’ blood, after suffering a humiliating 3-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal a few weeks ago.  No doubt Gunners will also be salvaging for pride, especially after their 2-0 defeat by Man U.

Last Saturday match is a record for the Gunners, who failed to score in the Barclaycard Premiership for the first time this season.  We Spurs fans were simply delighted, and more so especially after reserve keeper Shaaban was forced out of the action just before half-time after pulling a thigh muscle and was replaced by third-choice Stuart Taylor.  Can you imagine playing a third-choice keeper, no wonder they deserve to lose, and all credits must go to “Lick my Ass” Wenger, who boasted before the match that Arsenal is on the roll and Hendry is the "Best" forward in the world, this must be the biggest X'mas joke of this season.

On this Sunday derby, G.Hoddle must mirror the tactics used by Ferguson last week, which is to flood the midfield and chock off Arsenal's supply lines and force Pires and Ljungberg a.k.a "Street Punk" to back-track.  I firmly believed if public enemy no. 1 - Man U can control the midfield, I reckon Spurs can do it too.  After a disappointing trip to Highbury the previous time, the lads at White Heart Lane should have waken up their F***ing Idea already, and this can be seen from their confident display in the 3-1 win over West Brom.

Since coming back from their long spell of injuries, Ziege has been in top form, providing the inch-perfect cross, and those quick burst of speed which is just what is required of him this Sunday. In addition, Robbie Keane is beginning to look like the gem that made him an icon back at Leeds, and its high time he repays Spurs for providing a "Home" where he truly belongs. Defence will be manned by the rock solid D. Richards, "Pitbull" S. Carr and King, albeit King is suffering from a slight injury and has not really shine this season.

However, Spurs will still need to be at their very Best if they will to contain Arsenal and ensure that "Pitbull" must at least must break the leg of one Arsenal players to satisfy the home fans.

Lastly, I dared to say that Spurs will not be gunned down by the Gunners twice in a roll and anything last than a win will be not forgiven.  Personally I am hoping traitor S. Campbell Soup will be playing this Sunday, so we Spurs fans will get a change throw out abuse at him and make a living hell out of him.

Furthermore, Spurs would prove to Assene Wenger that King is better than Campbell Soup, and we are gonna to get him pay for pouching our players.  Thus once the dust is settled on Sunday, hopefully we can hail Ledley, “Long live the King” and relish in pleasure.  I will put my reputation on the line and predict that Spurs will come out top in this derby with a 2-1 win over Gunners.
