HOME ALONe
1990 **** 103 mins.
I was torn between three and a half stars and four for rating this film. After much deliberation, I decided on four stars because of its classic status. Christmas just isn't Christmas without Home Alone.
Macaulay Culkin plays Kevin McCallister, who is accidentally left behind when his parents go to Paris for the holidays. He is left to defend his house when a couple of burglars try to break in. The comedy is hilarious slapstick that, no matter how cheesy, seems to work.
Rated PG.
