Beyond the deep darkness of the forest
Beyond the line of sky-reaching trees
The misty light shines down on trails
obscured by time, and fallen leaves
The trailing beams of light shine eerily
Shadows flicker, moving with the gentle air
Insects flit to and fro in the silver light
The sounds of silence hang heavy there
The day moves on, the lightbeams dim
The animals and insects quiet their sound
A leaf falls silently, pine needles swishhhh
As darkness again comes tumbling down
