A Page With Some Lace & Paper Flowers

Stevie in chiffon

Stevie Nicks' music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
In the 1970's, when I was a little kid, I remember hearing Fleetwood Mac on the radio.
I was enchanted by the way Stevie, Lindsey and Christine's voices made such beautiful harmonies together. In the early 1980s when Stevie embarked on her solo career, I began seeing her much more on TV. Her style, look & persona appealed very much to me. Then I became a teenager in the MTV music video heyday of the mid-1980's. Stevie's mystical gypsy persona translates well to the music video realm! Stevie & Fleetwood Mac's videos were (and still are) some of my favorites.
My favorite Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac music videos are "Rooms On Fire" and
"Gypsy" respectively. I've always admired how Stevie portrays a strong, positive
female image and message in her music & videos.

Stevie's music has helped me through some very difficult periods in my life,
which has made me an even bigger fan today.

July 2003 I finally got to see Stevie & Fleetwood Mac live for the first time.
I took a 3-hour trip to Anaheim, and it was well worth it. Then, in October I was shocked
when Fleetwood Mac added a show right here in my hometown. Of course I had to see
them again! The second show was even better than the first.

May 2005 I was lucky enough to see Stevie in-concert on a solo tour at last!
I went to the third of her shows in Las Vegas at the Caesars Palace Coliseum.
It was an amazing show!

July 2005 I was fortunate enough to have lightning strike twice,
and got to see Stevie in-concert again on her Gold Dust Tour in Santa Barbara!
It was truly an enchanted evening-even better than the Las Vegas show!
An experience I will never forget!

Stevie 2001

I've only recently begun exploring "rare" Stevie material. My favorite "rarity" thus far
is "Mistress of My Fate". A few of my album favorites include:

Buckingham Nicks: "Crying In The Night"
Bella Donna: "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around"
The Wild Heart: "Enchanted"
Rock A Little: "I Can't Wait"
Other Side of The Mirror: "Rooms On Fire"
Timespace: "Desert Angel"
Street Angel: "Blue Denim"
Enchanted: "Gold & Braid"
Trouble In Shangri-La: "Sorcerer"

Some of my very favorite tracks are from soundtracks. Including:
"If You Ever Did Believe" from Practical Magic; "Twisted" from Twister; and
"Blue Lamp" from the Heavy Metal soundtrack!

Stevie & Yorkie

In addition to being a fan of her music and style, I admire Stevie for being a strong;
amazingly talented; independent woman - who's very close to her family.

Stevie & Branwen

Being a life-long animal lover, I was very happy to discover
Stevie is also a dog lover! Everyone knows loving dogs is a sign of intelligence....
One of my favorite photos of Stevie is the one shown above of her & an Afghan Hound. I only recently learned that the Afghan belonged to Stevie. She was named Branwen, after the characters Rhiannon & Branwen in the book which inspired Stevie to write the song "Rhiannon", and to learn more about the Welsh legend of Rhiannon. Stevie also owned a Yorkshire Terrier
in the 1970s named Sara; a white Toy Poodle named Ginny in the 1980s; and
currently has two female Yorkies (Sulamith and Sara Belladonna).

Some subtle Stevie influences in my life....

The dress I chose for my high school graduation was very Stevie-ish!
It has a ruched bodice, and a layered pixie point skirt. When I saw the
dress, I instantly had to have it!

My college graduation dress was also Stevie-like. No lace, but it does have the staggered,
handkerchief layers on the skirt. The dress I really wanted for my college graduation was very
gypsy-like... Black lace pixie-hem skirt, and long lace sleeves. Unfortunately, it was a bit
out of my price-range at the time!

Bear at Brandi's Dream makes awesome hand-made clothing!
I've ordered several pieces from her, and love them all! I've dressed-up as Stevie
for Halloween for the past four years. With all of Stevie's different looks, I have fun
deciding "which" Stevie to be each year!

Hi there, I'm STEVIE NICKS
Hooray! I'm STEVIE NICKS, vocalist and tambourine-ist of Fleetwood Mac! I'm very caring, generous, loving, and sweet. I enjoy twirling and banging away on my tambourine with the occasional wail. I'd give to charity any day of the week and if one person gets hurt, I'd call off everything to aid them. Too damn bad everyone thinks I'm a witch, though....
I wail/bang away on songs like "Gold Dust Woman," "Sisters Of The Moon," and
"Edge Of Seventeen."
Which member of Fleetwood Mac are you?
