Commuting Options

To make your daily commute more relaxing and economical, or to help improve the air we share by driving alone less, consider regular transit use. MCTS has developed the following programs to ease commuting hassles and save you money:

Commuter Check:

This $9.00 voucher can be used to save you 60% or more on your transit commuting costs. Employers purchase and distribute the vouchers as a tax free benefit (as long as the total does not exceed $65 a month). Transit riders can use their Commuter Checks to buy passes and tickets at any MCTS sales outlet.

VanPool:

MCTS is currently placing up to 20 van pools to help those employers currently not served by regular bus service. Van pool riders will share the cost of running the van for work commutes at a cost at or below driving alone.

Guaranteed Ride Home:

MCTS offers a special "emergency" ride program for employers participating in Commuter Check or the VanPool program.

Corporate/Commuter Value Pass:

MCTS offers a new, unlimited use pass. Save 70% or more when your employer shares the cost of your transit use. Available through companies only. Minimum participation requirements apply.
