HEAVEN
WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES IN DEATH
I WILL HAVE NO FEAR.
FOR IN HEAVEN I WILL AWAKE
AND SEE THE PEARLY GATES.
THEN THE ANGELS WILL DRESS ME
A ROBE OF WHITE I'LL WEAR.
I'LL GET MY WINGS AND HALO TOO
AS SOON AS I GET THERE.
AND THEN I'LL STEP ONTO THE CLOUDS
WITH THE ANGELS SINGING LOUD.
AND THEY WILL TAKE ME TO A PLACE
WHERE JESUS STANDS.
I KNOW THAT I AM SAFE.
HE WILL WALK WITH ME
A ROAD PAVED WITH GOLD.
I WILL SIT BY HIS SIDE.
THERE HE TELLS ME STORIES UNTOLD
ALL WONDERS ARE GONE FROM ME.
I SEE A LIGHT SO BRILLIANTLY BRIGHT
IT'S GOD, I HAVE NO FEAR.
I HIT MY KNEES AND CONFESS MY SINS
HE LOOKS AT ME AND SMILES.
WITH A VOICE OF LOVE HE SPEAKS TO ME.
THE SINS YOU HAD THEY ARE ALL GONE
MY SONS BLOOD WASHED THEM AWAY.
HE SAYS NOW RISE AND LOOK AROUND
SEE WHAT I'VE MADE FOR THE.
AND AS I SEE THE BEAUTY OF IT ALL
I PRAISE THE LORD FOR SAVING ME.
