Restoration is the based KNOWLEDGE of certain Biblical
TRUTHS. The first being that God Hates divorce.
Malachi 2: 12 - 16 15 Didn't the LORD make you one with your wife? In body and spirit you are His. And what does He want? Godly children from your union. So guard yourself; remain loyal to the wife of your youth. 16 "For I HATE divorce!" says the LORD, the God of Israel. "It is as cruel as putting on a victims bloodstained coat," says the Lord Almighty. "So guard yourself; always remain loyal to your wife."
Matthew 19: 3 - 93Some Pharisees came to him in order to test him. They asked, Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason? 4He answered them, Haven’t you read that the one who made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5and said, That’s why a man will leave his father and mother and will be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh? 6So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, man must stop separating. 7They asked him, Why, then, did Moses order us to give a certificate of divorce and divorce her? 8He said to them, “It was because you were hard-hearted that Moses allowed you to divorce your wives! But from the beginning it was not this way. 9 I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.
Matthew 5:2631It was also said; Whoever divorces his wife must give her a written notice of divorce. 32But I say to you, any man who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, causes her to commit adultery. And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Mark 10:11,1210Back in the house, the disciples asked him about this again. 11So he said to them, Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her. 12And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.
Luke 16: 1818Any man who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.
It's based on the KNOWLEDGE that an oaths taken before God is Holy. Matthew 5:33 - 3733Again, you've heard that it was said to those who lived long ago, You must not swear an oath falsely, but You must fulfill your oaths to the Lord. 34But I tell you not to swear at all, neither by heaven, because its Gods throne, 35nor by the earth, because its his footstool, nor by Jerusalem, because its the city of the Great King. 36Nor should you swear by your head, because you cant make one hair white or black. 37 Instead, let your word be Yes for Yes and No for No. Anything more than that comes from the evil one.
It is also based on the UNDENIABLE TRUTH that all things are possible through our faith in The Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 21: 22 - 2422Jesus said to them, Have faith in God! 23Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea, and if he doesn't doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24Thats why I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours.
Mark 10:27"Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God. "
John 14: 13 – 1413 I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it.
God, and his Son, Jesus, loves us all. Sinners and Saved alike. While those that are saved strive to walk the path of His will, He wants dearly for sinners to feel the glory of His Love. His is a love, that no matter who you are, once you are touched by it, you cannot deny it. Praise The Lord! Luke 7: 40 - 4340Jesus said to him, Simon, I have something to say to you. Teacher, he replied, say it. 41Two men were in debt to a moneylender. One owed him 500 denarii, and the other 50. 42When they couldn't pay it back, he generously canceled the debts for both of them. Now which of them will love him the most? 43Simon answered, I suppose the one who had the larger debt canceled. Jesus said to him, You have answered correctly.
Psalm 25:14The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare.
