Visa Chart:
DCF
K-1 Spousal Visa
is ... when the American citizen marries their foreign partner in a foreign country and applies for a DCF Visa directly through the American consulate in that country. is ... when the american citizen marries their foreign partner in their country or in the U.S. and the foreign partner goes back to their country while the American citizen applies for a Spousal Visa for their new spouse.
is ... when the American citizen petitions for his/her fiance to be able to enter the U.S. on a fiance visa.  Once they have successfully obtained the visa the forgein partner enters the U.S. and they then must marry and apply for an adjustment of status within 90 days from arrival.
Good points = Seems to be the most popular method for online couples.
You 'have to' get married =o)

Downfalls = You have to get married in the US.
It takes some loooooong days to wait for the visa to enter the country.
You have to have visited each other at least once before applying for this visa.
Good Points = You get to have your wedding in your own country and then move to your partner's country!

Downfalls = The wedding is not in your partner's country.
You'll have to wait in seperate countries while waiting for your adjustment visa to be processed.
WARNING - Please check any and all information contained on this chart - and this page - as this is only our assumptions of what the immigration process entails.
