An Angel Never Dies

Don't let them say I wasn't born,
That something stopped my heart,
I felt each tender squeeze you gave,
I've loved you from the start.
Although my body you can't hold,
It doesn't mean I'm gone.
The world is worthy, not, of me;
God chose that I move on.
I know the pain drowns your soul,
What you are forced to face.
You have my word, I'll fill your arms,
Someday we will embrace.
You'll hear that it was "meant to be, God doesn't make mistakes."
But that won't soften your worst blow,
Or  make your heart not ache.
I'm watching over all you do.
Another child you'll bear...
Believe me when I say to you,
That I am always there.
There will come a time, I promise you,
When you will hold my hand,
Stroke my face and kiss my lips,
And then you'll understand.
Although I've never breathed your air,
Or gazed into your eyes
That doesn't mean I never "was" ~
An Angel Never Dies.

Dear Mommy,
Please don't be so sad,
I miss you so much too.
Its beautiful where I am.
But I worry a lot about you.
I sleep with angels watching me,
there's only love up here.
I'm never lonely or afraid,
"Cause God's so very near.
I  walk with Jesus everyday,
He's very kind and sweet.
Don't worry Mom; He holds my hand
When we cross a golden street.
I never cry or hurt myself,
I see you everyday..
I laugh and play and sing alot
and hear when you pray.
Please Mommy, Don't be mad at God
You see, He loves me too.
And even though you're not here with me, I'm really still with you.

If I could have a lifetime wish,
A dream that would come true,
I'd pray to God with all my heart for yesterday and you.
A thousand words can't bring you back;
I know because I've tried.
And neither can a million tears;
I know because I've cried.
You left behind my broken heart
And happy memories too.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you
.

We thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday, and days before that too.

We think of you in silence, we often speak your name;
All we have now are memories, and your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake, with which we'll never part;
God has you in his keep, we have you in our heart.

It broke our heart to lose you. But you didn't go alone,
For a part of us went with you....the day God took you home.

My Dad Is A Survivor

My Dad is a survivor,
or so I've heard it said.
But I can hear him crying
when all others are in bed.
I watch him lay awake at night
and go to hold his hand.
He doesn't know I'm with him
to help him understand.

But like the sands upon the beach
that never wash away...
I watch over my Dad,
who thinks of me each day.
He wears a smile for others...
A smile of disguise.
But through heaven's open door
I see tears flowing from his eyes.

My Dad tries to cope with my death
to keep my memory alive.
But anyone who knows him
Knows it's his way to survive.
As I watch over my surviving Dad
through heaven's open door...
I try to tell him
Angels protect me forever more.

I know that doesn't help him...
Or ease the burden he bears.
So if you get a chance, talk to him...
And show him that you care.
For no matter what he says...
No matter what he feels.
My surviving Dad has a broken heart
that time won't ever heal.

"A bud the Gardner gave us,
a pure and lovely child.
He Gave it to our keeping,
to cherish undefiled.
But just as it was opening
to the glory of the day.
down came the Heavenly Gardner,
and took our bud away."
Dear Friend, today you broke my heart,
In a place that was unbroken.
You did it with your thoughtless words
That should not have been spoken.
You know that I am grieving;
That my pain is deep and real.
Your hurtful words pierced like a knife.
How do you think I feel?
You may not suffer from my loss
Or share this lonely grief;
But I'm mourning my baby,
Who's life was much too brief.
I'm sure you don't know how I feel,
I don't expect you to.
Don't ask me to get over it....
That's something I can't do.
Without grief, there's no healing.
It's a journey I must make.
It's not the path that I would choose,
But one I'm forced to take.
No matter how you choose to see
What I am going through,
I need compassion and support....
I'd do the same for you.
