What kinds of events will happen at One Magic Night?

There are various events that we are working on for One Magic Night. There will be Wrock concerts with some of your favorite Wizard Rock bands/artists part of the Here to Wrock Concert Series, different sessions to get to know other Potter fans, of course the One Magic Night Ball, For the fans 15-17 and 18+ there will be speed-dating, Harry Potter Idol is an event we are working on, with will be a Wrock version of American Idol, for those who wish to attend in the mornings there will be a Praise & Worship/Devotions Service, Art Galleries, Discussions & Debates, live Podcasts and so so so so much more!

Will there be a 24-hr Common room?

I heard that at Prophecy they were not able to pull it off, but I am going to try and get a room that can be used for 24-hrs at the hotel.

If I am under 18 will a parent slip or chaperone be needed?

Our answer at the moment is no. We will have up soon on the page a disclaimer stating that parents of minors who plan to attend are responsible for their child and we are not responsible for their overall safety in anyway. If a parent would like to attend they must also pay for a ticket. You can check out that page here.

Where will I stay?

That is all entirely up to you, but since we are having all the events at the Hyatt Regency we have reserved a block of rooms available at a discount price for OMN'08 attendees. You can check out that information HERE.

What will I wear to the ball?

There will be NO STREET CLOTHES WORN TO THE BALL which means no jeans and T-Shirts. If you are attending the ball you can dress semi-formal to formal and there will be security at the door checking. As in formal to semi-formal you may dress in formal Wizardware or attire.

Will it be at the same time as Portus 2008?

NO WAY! For one I want to go to Portus so it won't be at the same time at all. I am thinking maybe 2 weeks later. When the exact date is picked then it of course will be posted!

What do I do if I have an Idea for One Magic Night?

You of course let us know. We want to know what the fans are looking for in an event. This event is planned for fans by fans and so we want everyone to have some type of input into the event. We are got going to guarantee that your idea will make it to the event, but we want you to know that we are listening. Email any ideas to [email protected] 

Are there any rules and regulations for One Magic Night?

Will there be a house sorting?

At the moment we are swaying towards one, but right now we are still on the fence, but as soon as we are sure we will let you know.

If any funds are leftover after One Magic Night concludes what is going to happen them?
