Programs written by me & other downloads
Here is a list and downloads of software that I have written. Most of it is free, and
one or two are trialware. I am not responsible for any bad effects that software may
have on you or your computer, use it at your own risk. That said, such a thing is really
unlikely to happen.
RiotBall
This is simply the coolest breakout game you will ever play! There are a lots of fun new twists
in this game. For example, you can put spin on the ball to make it curve in air! You can bounce
coins to make big scores, you can collect the green gems to play bonus levels, you can collect
red gems to play boss levels! Trial versions are available for both windows and linux. Get the
windows version or the
linux version, or visit
IronCode Software for more fun games!
Last Man Standing
This is a tank shooter game. You control a tank, moving around in an arena and smashing other tanks to
bits. It is currently playable on Windows only, but a Linux version is in works. Get the
free trial version here, or visit
IronCode Software for more computer games!
Natwarlal
This is my full blown chess engine. Natwarlal is very strong, but not too strong so you may
just have an outside chance to beat it. A small chance, but a chance nonetheless. Check it
out, its completely free, and Natwarlal has a page of its own.
Source code is also available!
GtkScare
This is my Adrift games runner. It uses Simon Baldwin's Scare interpreter. This is a full blown runner which
supports almost all of Scare's features. GtkScare, too, has a page of its own.
Download GtkScare here. Just the binary, for source code & more
information, visit the link above.
Playcd
This is a command line audio CD player. Why one would want to use it beyond me. But I have
written it, someone may use it, such things happen! Source code is included in the zip file.
Uses the SDL library (http://www.libsdl.org).
Download playcd here.
Fireworks
Long time ago I used to have a screensaver at my office that showed similar fireworks. My pc at
office changed and I could not find that screensaver on the internet this time. So I wrote my own.
Its not a screensaver, but it looks very similar to the screensaver I had. Maybe someday I will
convert this into a screensaver. Source code included.
Download fireworks here.
Mkalbum
This is a perl script that takes a bunch of images and converts it into a html album, with thumbnails
and all. You need to have perl installed on your computer to run this, and you need ImageMagick to
perform all the thumbnailing. In particular, this needs the command line program convert. Currently
runs only on Linux.
Download mkalbum here.
Bdiff
Binary diff. Does a diff between two binary files. Tells you the byte offset at which the differences
occur. Useful if you are testing loading and saving of a binary file format. Source code included.
Executables for both windows and linux are included.
Download bdiff here.
Rgrep
Recursive grep. A perl script which recursively searches all the files in the current directory and
its sub directories for the regexp (or a pattern or a word supplied as an argument on the command line).
Download rgrep here.
Gtk Themes
Now this is obviously not an appropriate place for putting the themes, but since all I am doing is
putting up software for download, I might as well add them here. These are a bunch of GTK themes that
I made, and one that was made by my brother. For obvious reasons, usable only on Linux.
Download gtk themes.
