Dreamland
My name is Mr. Sandman,
Come and listen if you can,
I have a little story to be told,
For all to hear, no matter if you're young or old.
I'm the one who puts you to sleep at night,
To help you rest under the stars so bright.
I sprinkle your eyes with my special sand,
To help take you off to dreamland.
Dreamland is a place we all share,
There's no other place to compare.
A place for the old and young,
It's a place to go when the day is done.
A place to go that'll make you glad,
Even if you're feeling down and sad.
A place for a friend and you,
A place to dream about all that you'll do.
A place to go without a worry,
To take your time, to leave in no hurry.
A place to recall your youth,
Even at times when you were a goof.
A place to wonder what tomorrow will bring,
A place to laugh, dance, and sing.
A place you can go on your own,
Even if you're not totally grown.
A place where you can fly,
Up high in the sky.
A place where you can soar,
Like you never have before.
So this is my story my friend,
But if you like it does not have to end.
Just come and take my hand,
And I'll take you off to dreamland.
