Yang Guo and Da Er Ba begin their fight. The huge monk is stronger but Yang Guo is faster and more cunning. Yang Guo attaches himself to Da Er Ba's heavy iron pole and uses it as leverage for his attacks. Da Er Ba could do nothing but hold on to his weapon and at the same time avoid getting hit.

     Watching,
Jinlun Fawang (Gold Wheel Abbot) tells Da Er Ba to use his Supreme Power Pole style. The huge monk does as told and swings his pole around with Yang Guo still holding on to it. Yang Guo holds on for as long as he could but Fawang flicks a tiny pebble at him. Yang Guo gets hit in the head and looses his grip.

The force of the inertia throws him far across the room.
Yang Guo is momentarily disoriented and is therefore vulnerable. Da Er Ba quickly runs towards him, intent on hitting him with his iron pole. Long screams for Yang Guo to watch out and Guo Jing attempts to help him but Fawang stops him. The two great fighters clash in mid-air -- Guo Jing using his Dragon Palm and Fawang absorbing his attack with his own palm.

     Then,
Yang Guo recovers from his disorientation just in time to avoid Da Er Ba's fast descending pole. He uses the Jumping Skill outlined in the Scripture of Jiu Yin, much to Guo Jing's surprise.

(NOTE: The Scripture of Jiu Yin is a secret martial arts book. Only very few people know it, mostly the old masters like Wong Chong Yang, Hong Qi Gong, and Ou Yang Feng.)

Yang Guo attacks Da Er Ba with more vigor now and finally defeats him. Wu Dunru steps in and proclaims Yang Guo the winner to the people's thundering applause. But their happiness is quickly doused when Jinlun Fawang voices his disagreement.

The tall, thin monk steps forward and looks at
Xiao Long Nuu, rubbing his beard thoughfully. He then says that he cannot let a weak-looking girl like her become the Head of Wulin. Yang Guo tells him that he has to accept the decision for that was the agreement. Fawang replies that he will only agree after he has tested Long's skills.

     As
Yang Guo is about to protest again, Long steps in and nods to the Tibetan, indicating that she accepts his challenge. Fawang seems pleased and immediately whips out his weapons, two wheels -- one gold and the other steel. Xiao Long Nuu also pulls out her silken belt with the tiny golden bells.
