Insomnia
Three o'clock in the morning
    I'm still awake
Taken pills...
      they don't work.
Tried reading...
      my eyes hurt now
Tried petting my beautiful tom-cat
he just glares and flaunts his sleep
  (he makes me so jealous
           with his effortless slumber!)
Tried walking in the dark
              --Alone...
Nothing works!
It's so unfair!
    Everyone sleeps!--
            Why can't I?
How can one be so unfortunate?
Oh, if only
    I could be snuggled down
        In a nice, warm bed
           Safe and sound
In the tender, loving arms of Morpheus!
