King Kelly --Catcher-Infield-Outfield

Mike Kelly was a great player who played almost anywhere. His baserunning was offensive but successful - by inventing the "fadeaway" or "hook slide" he was made immortal in the song "Slide, Kelly, Slide". He was baseball's first superstar, his trade from Chicago to Boston for $10,000 was one of the biggest deals in 19th century baseball.
Rather unknown is the story of him scoring the winning run by skipping third base and running straight from second to home. This of course was when there was only one umpire on the field.
