The secret is out, move over Tinaroo Dam, there is a another impoundment where monster barra roam just looking for sucker anglers to feed them with $15 lures. Completed in 1990
and first stocked with barra in 1996 and to date some 117,200
barra have been released, metre fish are quite a common
catch these days. Last november the stocking association held
it's first catch and release comp and from all reports it was a great success so much that dates have been set for next years

The No.1 Barramudi tag and release comp have released dates for the 2001
comp the dates are May 17/18/19. If you only fish one comp this year make sure it's this one. For more info check with the Ingham Rod and Reel Club.
