We decided to start the GayPage Award project to emphasize the presence in the Net of the best GLTB (Gay - Lesbian - Transgender - Bisexual) Sites, presenting to the surfer the healthy and positive aspect of the GLTB world.
In the Net there are way too many Gay Sites presenting just pornography! And for the unexperienced surfer, is too easy, but wrong, to make the equation Gay=pornography.
We know that in the WWW there are GLTB Sites that can show how we are just normal people, Sites who are informative, entertaining, useful, agreeable, and a source of good documentation.
We also wanted to give to the GLTB community a Resource site, where to find their equals, and/or useful services. We think we succeeded in this, as we are receiving a very good feedback about our presence on the Net and what we are doing to promote knowledge, understanding, respect and acceptance.
Of course there is also a (very small) minority of narrow minded people, sending us e-mail filled with abuse. But every time, the e-mail address they put in their e-mail, don't exist! They are very few people, cowards, often illiterate, filled with hatred... possibly towards their own subconcious homosexual feelings.
