Universal Mind
                                       Universal Mind
A single drop of rain does not possess any power by itself, however, once it falls into the great ocean, it becomes one with the tremendous power of the ocean. In the same way, the power of our minds is very small and limited, however, once our minds become one with the Universal Mind, our mind will possess the great power of the universe. In order to become one with the Universal Mind, we must strive to obtain eight distinct virtues, namely Patience, Humbleness, Appreciation, Selfless Service, Calmness, Positive Attitude, Sincere Prayer, and Compassion. The human mind has been developing throughout the ages until this very day, but we have still not completed our development. We must continue to develop in the future with steadfast faith that when all mankind gains this Universal Mind, the world will finally be able to live in true peace.

                Spiritual Development Counseling

Through conversations with him, Sensei Kawahatsu will help you to find true peace and happiness in your life.  During our life, we encounter many difficult situations such as disasters, sickness, relationship problemns, emotional troubles, and financial difficulties, matters of life and death and so forth.
Sensei Kawahatsu deeply viewed in his youth that he would die someday and thought he would regret his entire life at the end.  That is how he began to search for spiritual peace and happiness wholeheartedly.  He would like to share his experiences and help you to gain inner peace by realizing the true value of your life.

                       Arigato Gozaimasu (Thank You) Movement

Under the support of the Konko Church of San Francisco and Shin Shin Gakudo (The way of the mind, spirit, and body), I am inviting you to join me in sharing "Mindful Appreciation and Meditation."  As many of you are aware, these past few years, I have had a personal mission to spread the valuable words of expressing Arigatou Gozaimasu, Thank you, 1,000 times a day, far and wide.  As a minister of the Konko faith tradition, I realize that we should not be divided by negativity, but instead be joined by unity and expressions of deep and mindful appreciation.  I would like to cal this the "Arigatou Gozaimasu Movement."

The simple practice of saying "thank you" (Arigatou Gozaimasu) 1,000 times a day is so powerful that it can help you eliminate all kinds of mental frustration, anger, worry, disappointment and so forth, and you will develop a deep apprectiation of your life.  Many people have been practiving this simple training and they have gained many benefits.  One example was a prisoner who could not sleep in prison, but as he started to practice saying "Arigatou Gozaimasu" prior to retiring to bed, he began to sleep peacefully.  He then started to share this  with his family and friends over the phone.  Another person who lost his father to an illness, found out that his mother was also seriously ill.  He found that by saying "Arigatou Gozaimasu," it helped him to realize that each breath that he takes is worth a million dollars!
