Lets do it again - Steam into Spring is on again in 2003

Following it's successful first steps last year, Steam into Spring has been launched again as a way to group market the rail themed activities that can be enjoyed in Toowoomba at Carnival of Flowers time.  All the cooperators from last year are again keen to be part and  show the world that there is plenty to do in Toowoomba.

Open day to inspect the DownsSteam restoration of stem locomotive 106  
DownsSteam will be holding it’s second open day at it's two restoration sites for you to inspect the progress of restoration of steam locomotive 106 and heritage carriages.
Sun 21 Sept,
9am – 12 noon, Steam loco restoration site, Moore Trailers, Gore Hwy, Pittsworth
1pm - 4pm, Carriage restoration site, Brook Street, Toowoomba (city side of Dairy Farmers) More information.

Take a ride in a steam train with Sunshine Express Rail Tours
Trip1: Ride the BB18 1/4 locomotive No. 1079 from Brisbane to Toowoomba and return on Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 Sept. More information.
Trip2: You can take the same journey on Wednesday 24 September on a Class 2000 motor rail. More information.
Trip3: Ride a steam train (No.1079) from Toowoomba to Helidon (returning by coach) on Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 September. More information.

Travel by special train from Historical Toowoomba Station to the Carnival Gardens of Spring Bluff and return.
Two trains daily from Sun 21 to Sat 27 Sept, 9am and 12.30pm (no 12.30pm train on 28 Sept)
Adults $11, Children, Students, Pensioners,Senior Citizens $6.50,Children under 4 free
