In order to strengthen the said activities and programmes, we need support in the form of cash or  kind.    
Funds required for teachers allowance, infra structure development in school, tailoring unit, allowance for
general staff and children maintenance expenses.  We welcome volunteers to teach the children and helping in
the tailoring section.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

You can support our work by attending the weekend activities or short term work camps, volunteering your
services whenever you can, or by donating or helping in raising funds for the various activities that are
undertaken in Vedanthangal .
SCI India is authorized by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India,  to receive funds from abroad
for its charity programmes.

SCI India is  registered as non-profit making and non-governmental organization committed to the promotion of
peace and international understanding. SCI is a member of the Coordinating Committee for International
Voluntary Service (CCIVS) and the Youth Forum of the European Communities. It has also status with UNESCO
and the Council of Europe. In 1987, SCI was awarded the title “Messenger of peace” given by the United Nations,
in acknowledgment of its efforts to promote peace and understanding.
