1256.3d1 Ralph BRISCOE b. 27 Nov 1747, Trinity Parish, Prince George's Co., MD, d. 1831, Ralls Co., MO, m. 1st. c1770, Ann MACKALL, d/o John and Martha (DUKE) MACKALL; m. 2nd. 8 Mar 1792, Evangelical Reformed Church, Frederick, Frederick Co., MD, Sarah (TRAMMEL) DALLASHMUTT, (widow of Elias DALASHMUTT). An intersting document published in Western Maryland Genealogy v5, page 60-61 indicates that Sarah TRAMMEL was first married to Lindsey DELASHMUTT. Sarah petitioned the Maryland Chancery Court in an effort to stay several proceedings by creditors against the Trammel and DELASHMUTT estates to have the personal estate under the protection of trustees for the benefit of her children. Her father left her 1985 pounds and she had 4 children by Lindsey: Jane m. John BRISCOE 1 Jul 1795, Trammell, John, and Sampson. That her husband Lindsey addicted to drink, could not manage the estate, had a number of debts unpaid at his death in 1791. Sarah m. 8 Mar 1792, Ralph Briscoe of Frederick Co., MD, sober and clear of debt. BRISCOE since has become addicted to drink and can't manage the estate. Children by BRISCOE, Artimesa, Truman, and Lindsey. The court barred the estate from the sheriff's sale. (MDB11, 58 p137, MDFR1) Children (7 by the1st. wife, 4 by 2nd.)

1256.3d1a Mary Harbert BRISCOE b. c1771, d. 1848, Scott Co., KY, m. 29 Feb 1786, Frederick Co., MD, Jeremiah TARLETON b. 1761, St. Mary's Co., MD, d. 1833, s/o Jeremiah and Anne TARLETON. Jeremiah migrated to Frederick Co., in 1786. He bought 3 tracts of land of 50 acres each in Washington  Co., west of Cumberland, MD (probably in present day Garrett Co.), and in 1788, 50 acres in Allegany Co., MD. On 2 Mar 1806 he sold his land on Carroll Manor in Frederick Co., and moved to KY. He established a farm 3 miles east of Georgetown on the Georgetown-Paris road. (COTRELL) FENELON, natives of County Carloo and Kilkerney resp.. John B. was a farmer and stock raiser traveled throughout the south and western United States. He started raising poultry in Cincinnati, Ralls Co., until 1850. In 1856, he went to Austin, TX, bought 100 ponies which he sold at a profit (doesn't state where he sold them). In 1857 he went to Mexico, returned to Ralls Co., where he bought 400 acres, adding to that 700 acres, called the Old Muldron or Dry Fork Place. In 1910 Margaret and her sons are living in Jasper Twp., Ralls Co., with Bridget FENELON 76, b. IRE (her mother), Sadie Lydon 12, servant, James Morrow 32, servant, and John Delany 39, a hired hand in the household. In 1920 Margaret and her mother, Bridget FENELON are living in Jasper Twp., with Madelin Hardenhigh? 45 and son Carroll 12, in the household. EMISON for $2200. In 1880 John as a miller living gin New London with a 15 year old male, name Mirand? EMISON b. c1865, MO. Robert could not be found in the Colorado census, however there was a Robert B. EMISON, in Kickapoo Twp., Leavenworth Co., KS,  in the Federal Penitentiary that fits the are of Robert.  (KSLE4, MORA9-27 Aug 1879 p49)

He was also farming in Spencer Twp. in 1880. They were members of the Baptist Church, and are buried at Salem Church Cem., Ralls Co. At one time he owned Parke Hotel (New London?).
