When a fanfic writer writes a story about his/her favorite T.V show, comic book, video game, etc., he/she creates an alternate reality --a world based on the said medium, but ever so slightly different. Even if the writer follows a cannon, or exacting set of rules based on the subject of the fic, it is still an alternate reality, mainly because the writers of the show, comic book, video game, etc., in question did not write the story.
Everything on my site is an Alternate Reality, from the Drak Pack Headquarters, to Buffy/Angel, to ReBoot, Bugaloos, Captain N, etc. The Rooms are a mix of cannon and my imagination.
Role-Playing Games create their own alternate realities. So do the "Mary Sues". You can't escape the alternate realities, as long as you read and write fanfics, or draw fan art.
On this page, I'll list my alternate realities, and the little things that make them different. Keep in mind that I hold nothing as absolute cannon, but my own imagination. These are, after all, alternate realities...^_^
What if...: What if...fics.
Buffy/Angel : Buffy and Angel are still together. Angel and Angelous has been spit into two people, one good, and the other evil. Angel and Drak are cousins. Buffy and Angel are free to one day get married, and may do so. Giles is still Buffy's Watcher. The Slayerettes (or, "Scooby Gang", if you want to call them that) are all there. Oz and Willow are still together, as are Cordy and Xander. Buffy and the rest also has access to the world of User Guardian 1's ReBoot Universe. Drak is older in this alternate universe, wearing black and silver armor, and carring a katana sword that can kill any undead, no matter what normally kills them. Drak also can change from human to vampire on his own, now, and stays more in his vampire form.
ReBoot: I am User Guardian 1, trapped in the world of the computer, and living in Mainframe. It is after Season 3. Deamon has been defeated, and the Guardians are free from her infection. I am married to Bob's twin brother, Wild Card, with a little girl named Azura. Bob and Dot are also married, with twins, Rob and Jade. A second back-up copy of AndrAIa exsists --Andri-- as a playmate for the back-up copy of Enzo Matrix, now a grown man. All of Mainframe is immortal, except for the back-up copy of Megabyte. Hexadecimal is on the Mainframer's side, as are Hack and Slash. Megabyte has replaced them with Slice (orange) and Dice (purple), not knowing that he had already built and scraped them, in favor of Hack and Slash. Now, he's stuck with Slice and Dice.
