Derick was born 27/03/62 and learned to play the drums from a very young age without a drum kit. He joined the band after the release of 'Emergency on planet Earth' and claims to have some very strong Jazz and Funk musical influences, including Harvey Manson and Level 42. His daughter is one of the main influences in his life. His best memory is of when his arma had to be sprayed with Ralgex on his first gig with Jam because he was playing the drums so hard.
