Open Clusters are physically related groups of stars held together by mutual gravitational attraction. They are believed to originate from diffuse nebulae within a parent galaxy. and continue to orbit within or near the galaxy's disk. Open Clusters formed from the same diffuse nebula have similar chemical composition and are close to the same age. They are some of the most beautiful objects to view through a telescope. Below are some of my observations of Open Clusters from the Messier Catalog
