Jan 28                               Peter Schaefer Update
as most people know, Peter Schaefer is playing for a team in Finland because of a contract problem with the Canucks. I decided to find out how he is doing, which was kind of hard, because the website is in finninsh but I did the best I could.
His team is called TPS Turku, anad I think they play in the finnish league. In 20 games he has 11 goals and three assists, for 14 points. Two of those goals came in a 4-1 victory over Jokerit a couple nights ago. Former Canuck Chris Joseph is also on TPS Turku, as well as Mikko Koivu, younger brother of Saku Koivu. Their next game is on the 31st against the Blues, Mike Stapleton, a Canuck for a short time is on the Blues.
I will post more info when I know it. To find out for yourself, go to
The Official TPS Turku Site

Sorry I haven't updated in so long....I'll try to do it more regularly now.
The Canucks are leading the Red Winds 2-0 in the first round of the playoffs. It took a strong charge in the second half of the season and was almost down to the last game, but the Canucks managed to grab 8th.
Game 3 is back in Vancouver on Sunday and game 4 is on Tuesday. Hopefully that will be all the games they need.
Todd Bertuzzi had an excellent season, emerging as one of the top power forwards in the league. He finished 3rd in league scoring, despite missing 10 games.
The Canucks were the highest scoring team in the league, two goals ahead of Detroit.
