If you’re a seasoned, (okay, an embittered) veteran like me, you don’t believe a word of the advertising hype, and you take even the most unbiased commentary from a commercial website with more than a grain of salt.
Imagine you’ve searched the far corners of the web for information on your next purchase, but none of it describes the true ownership experience of the thing you want. You’ve exercised as much restraint as you can, and the only thing left is to go buy it, and on the way to the store, you meet a friend who just bought one a month ago, and you ask What’s it like?

Let me warn you, though - I'm writing these reviews for people who have both the time and interest to absorb a lot of detail. They do not offer the 'at-a-glance' specifications I became sick of looking at when I was doing my research.
