What we can offer

Excellent instruction in Maths, English, Irish and preparation of students for entrance and assessment tests for secondary schools. We have small classes with individual attention. We have on our staff a Remedial teacher who specialises in the teaching of English.

Library:

A wide range of children's literature is available for all ages.

Music:

All children learn singing and recorder. Piano lessons are also available in the school.

Speech and Drama:

These classes are available during school hours with a qualified teacher. Children take part in Certificate Exams at the end of the school year.

Art and Crafts:

These are part of our weekly curriculum and includes all forms of art, knitting, sewing and embroidery.

Games:

Basketball and camogie coaching are available, from Junior infants for basketball and from third to sixth class for camogie. We have full games facilities and a qualified teacher comes to the school once a week.

Swimming:

The children from 1st class to 6th have the opportunity to take part in a ten week swimming programme each year.

Computers:

In the school we have a well stocked high tech. computer room which is suitable for small working groups.

Choir:

The children in the Senior classes take part in the choir and have the opportunity to take part in the National Children's Choir.

The children in the school also enjoy School outings and Educational tours. Participation in Art, Story, Poetry and all types of competitions both locally and nationally.
