About Us . . .

The Pettipas Racing Team was formed in 1995 to contest the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) 3-hour race at the Moosehead Grand Prix in their hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia.  Competing against the factory Oldsmobile and Nissan squads in the ultra-competitive GTS-1 class, PRT ran in third for most of the race before suffering a broken axle on the bumpy airport circuit.

For the 1998 season PRT focused their efforts on the fledgling Canada GT Challenge Cup, Canada’s premier road racing series for FIA GT, Grand-Am AGT, and SCCA Trans-Am cars.  PRT was undoubtedly the revelation of the CGTCC season, which began with a pole-winning effort in their first race. For the remainder of the year, the team never looked back, finishing with three front row starts and three podium finishes to their credit.

Through their collective talents and dedication, PRT has built a solid reputation for themselves in four seasons of CGTCC competition.  Along the way they have acquired the skills and savvy needed to be successful in professional racing and it's these characteristics that mark PRT as a perennial threat to win.
