Dragonballs

Earth's Dragonballs
  • There are 7 dragonballs.
  • Each one is fairly small in size, they only have the circumference of a large tennis ball.
  • There is a password which you must know before you can call out Shenron.
  • The four star dragonball is meant to represent bravery.
  • The Eternal Dragon is called Shenron.
  • Shenron is a large, serpent-like dragon, with green scales, and eyes that flash red when granting a wish. It is more like the ones that are well known from fantasy lands.
  • It is in Shenron's power to grant a wish to whoever collects all the dragonballs and summons him.
  • Shenron can grant just about any wish, with only a few limitations.
  • Shenron is unable to revive people who have already been wished back before, he can't revive anyone who has died longer than a year ago.
  • You can't wish for someone to die, or fall in love with you.
  • Shenron is capable of resurrecting massive amounts of people at once, for just one wish.
  • The creator of the Earth's dragonballs is Kami (NOTE: This statement is correct for the start of DBZ)
  • It takes 365 and a quarter days for the dragonballs to regenerate (An Earth year)
  • When Shenron is summoned the sky turns black, and lots of things happen.
  • Shenron was constructed from a model which Kami gave life to.

Namek's Dragonballs
  • There are 7 dragonballs, just like Earth
  • Each Namekian ball is a lot heavier and larger than the Earth ones - They have a circumference which is about equal to a football.
  • The password is known only by the Namekian elder, and anybody he tells
  • The Eternal Dragon is named Porunga
  • Porunga looks like a human/dragon hybrid, with the green scales, and face of a dragon, but the arms and a chest of a very muscular human.
  • Porunga looks as though he is coming from a lamp, like a genie, because the bottom half of him keeps getting thinner until it reaches the ground.
  • Porunga will grant wishes to anyone who asks after he has been summoned
  • Porunga can grant three wishes, but can only revive one person at a time
  • Porunga can revive people who already been wished back an infinite number of time.
  • You can't wish for someone to die, or fall in love with you.
  • You need to make the wish in Namekian for Porunga to grant it.
  • Guru was the creator of the Namekian dragonballs (NOTE: This was correct at the time of the Freiza saga)
  • It takes 130 days (A Namekian year) for the dragonballs to regenerate.
  • When Porunga is summoned the sky turns black, and lots of things happen.
