January 17, 2001
Dear Parents,
I would like to inform parents
regarding the following changes to the January calendar.
-
The assembly this week,
on Friday, January 19, will be put on by the students in Reception / Grade
1. Tuck Day remains the same as scheduled, provided by Grades
6 & 7.
-
Students will be dismissed after
the assembly this week (at about 10:45 a.m.) so that teachers may participate
in activities for their in-service workshop.
-
A special Chinese New Year Assembly
will be held Tuesday, January 23, at 10:00 a.m., after Tuck
Day snacks provided by Grades 4 & 5. This is the regular
Friday assembly, pulled forward on the calendar to provide for Chinese
New Year. The students in Grades 2 & 3 are working with our Chinese
community to put on a very special program.
-
There will be no school January
24, 25 & 26, with respect to Chinese New Year celebrations. School
will re-open on January 29.
Thank you for your attention
to this important school information.
Sincerely,
Bruce Hoffman
Principal
