The Price Of Peace

The price of peace is always high

That is the way it has always been

The terms of peace must be of such

That all can live with them in the end

The price of peace must be set

To where with all it has a chance

Arriving at the price of peace

Is a diplomatic dance

The price of peace must be the same for all

If the peace is to ever last

For when the price is more for some than others

Wars shall not fade into the past

The price of peace has been paid

In blood, and tears to many times in the past

But any peace bought with these

Is a peace that never last

The price of peace must be paid

In understanding of other’s ways

For if there is no understanding

From peace all minds soon stray

The price of peace sometimes

I have heard so many say

Is a price that is just too high

A price some will never pay
