David Irving - Historian

So Irving has had the gall
To tell part of the truth at last.
Let us see if he can survive
And still hold his belief fast.

He has committed the deadly sin
Of expressing his own views
By questioning Hitler's plan
To exterminate all those Jews.

For everybody today knows
About the six million figure,
Of the others, who really died,
No one seems to be quite sure.

And if that was not enough
He lays part of the War's blame
On Churchill, on whom the Press
Crowned so much glory and fame.

Really, David! How could you
Come up with such an injunction.
And expect to go unpunished
By the present day Inquisition.

Retract your rash words now!
Bend the knee! Hide your face!
And in future do not question
What's told you by the Chosen Race.

Remember what happened before
To one who told them they lied?
A quick "Nüremberg" was held,
And they got him crucified.

Empangeni, 1987.
