In times past and now forgotten
When Honesty ruled supreme,
Before men with hearts rotten
Deposed those worth our esteem,
The world was free of speculation
And there was no talk of inflation.

But then a band of cunning thieves,
With lying tongues and souls of greed
And many tricks up their sleeves,
A plan so simple their minds conceived
To bring the world into subjugation,
Requiring only guile and dedication.

To first step was to begin the trade
Of lending money and holding sure
The wealth that others, thru work had made
And by offering 'interest' they did allure
The unsuspecting victims into their den ...
And this holds true now as it did then.

Once the money was in their hands
They began to use it for their own end,
As well as taking poor people's land
As payment for the money they lend.
It did not take long for them to hold
In their clutches other people's gold.

Their eyes were set on bigger things
And with this wealth they began to bend
The judgments of princes and kings
Who were in debt for the money they'd spend
On various causes they found were best
To safeguard their kingdoms' interests.

From money lending to individuals
And then to kings extend their usury
They soon became multinationals
Controlling the nations' purses, the Treasury.
They ruled supreme and over all
The countries, and their capital.

Power hungry, they'll dash to pieces
Anyone who speaks against their clan,
And while their heartless greed increases
Their victims survive as best they can,
Eating scraps from the rulers' table,
And of making ends meet they are incapable.

So, until all financial policy returns
To loyal rulers in every nation
In whose hearts the spirit of truth burns,
Man remains saddle with continuous inflation
And he'll never shake off this oppressive iniquity
Or ever be the master of his own destiny.
