Praise the Lord for His salvation

Praise Him more for the soul that's well

Praise Him too for His damnation

Praise the Lord for folly 'n reason

Praise Him more for Heaven 'n Hell

Praise Him for Angel 'n Demon

Praise the Lord and your fear dispel

 

Praise the Lord for both right and wrong

Praise Him more for all that you see

Praise Him with a sob or a song

Praise the Lord the slave and the free

 

Praise the Lord that He was a Jew
