A Prayer
 
 

Teach me O God to know
The secrets of Thy mind
And help me then to show
Thy wonder to mankind.

As with Thy prophets of old
Show also Thy servant low
How to be both wise and bold
On this earth here below.

Give me strength from above
To carry on Thy holy fight
Against the enemy who strove
To eliminate Thy light.

Hear O God this my request.
Let my voice ring as a bell.
Bless me now in this quest,
And bring glory to Israel.
