District Rawalpindi is on its North, river Jhelum forms its boundary on East and South across which lies
Azad Kashmir on East and districts of Gujrat and Sargodha on South and district of Chakwal is on its West. The total area of the district is 3,587 square kilometres. It comprises following four tehsils:-
1. Jhelum
2. Dina
3. Sohawa
4. Pind Dadan Khan
CLIMATE AND GENERAL SOIL CONDITIONS
The climate of the district is hot in summer and dry cold in winter. The average annual rain fall is 880 mm. The temperature during the winter season remains between 8�C to 20�C which shoots upto 42�C during summer. The climate and soil conditions are generally suitable for industrialization.
