( BRUCE LANE DUHL ( DR. DUHL ) Artist, Friend, and Confidant.
Bruce was an inspiration to many but was understood by only a few. Born in February of 1948 and died a short forty years later he was a true Aquarian in every respect. He walked on the wild side for most of his life. Trouble, jails and fast living were no stranger to the hard-hitting, two fisted drinker and ladies man with a severe amount of artistic ability in his soul. Bruce truly lived in the moment. Yesterday was gone, tomorrow wasn't coming, so today is all there is and Bruce left no part of today unlived. There was great freedom and purity in his life style at a level that most would not comprehend. Some people have to treat the conventional way of living plagued by it's responsibilities and hopeless formality with such maddening indifference that it can infuriate the tax-paying mentality of modern society. Bruce was a magician in this area. His greatness in the field of commercial art and retail design and his reputation as a rogue were simply the two sides of the whole man.
His artistic and humanitarian accomplishments ranged from being an intregal part of the design team for national chains like Nature's Table, Hallmark Cards or Baskin-Robbins to painting cartoon characters on his own time on the side of a dentists office so children would not be so scared to go in to name just a few. He loved his daughters Tonya and Marie and his friends and we loved him.
