| THE ARTS AND MY ABUSE OF THEM: I've started writing again. My blog has editorial material (unpaid ranting), and I'm writing prose again. Homolatte is my new hangout - local artists reading and singing. I've performed at open mike night and was a featured artist in June. Dance-wise, I had the opportunity to study with modern dance teacher Paul Sanasardo and will be dancing for a fellow student, Masha Balovlenkov, in December at Links Hall in Chicago. I have started doing Vinyasa yoga. I never thought I would like yoga and now it rocks my socks.. I spent the summer with Korzatkowski Contemporary Dance. I got to dance to Johnny Cash! Enough said. Not singing anymore, either - the tide has gone out on the Clams and I haven't found a new karaoke spot. However, I have written a few songs with my new brother-in-law, and I did sing "Love Shack" with the band at Lynne's not-really-a-wedding-reception reception. |

| GIVING THE CHURCH THE FINGER BECAUSE THEY KEEP FINGERING US: Out of great respect for the sanctity of marriage, I spent 20 seconds to get ordained online with the Universal Life Church. According to my certification, I am now able to perform weddings and all ceremonies except circumcision in all 50 states. Not bad for a half-Jewish atheist. |
