Parallel Universe Star Wars: The Episodes

Scroll down to Read or Download the screenplays.

What happened before:
The first three episodes dealt with Yoda as an apprentice, knight and master, and with the emergence and apparent defeat of the Sith.
The legendary Kane Skywalker played a part, as well as other Skywalkers...
It involved droid armies. These armies were forbidden in the end.
Yoda visited Naboo for the first time.

Darth Sidious was a Sith Lord apparently defeated by the Jedi, but was he really, or did he somehow manage to contain his essence in a mysterious Kyber Crystal?

The next 3 episodes take place at the time of the Star Wars Prequels.
Originally I had written 4 episodes, because when I was working on the first one it turned out to be pretty long, so I cut that one in two.
In early 2005 I decided to try again, and this time turn it into a trilogy. So now those first two episodes have been converted into one screenplay. Obviously a lot has been cut and changed - I think for the better. A lot of fat has been cut. You can still find the original two below, but from now on I'll consider those to be separate attempts, and not part of my rewrite saga.

Anyway, the episodes after that trilogy take place at the time of the Original Star Wars Trilogy and what happens after that.
I'm still working on those. I used to have the 'rewrite' of 'A New Hope' online (named 'Rebellion', but for now I've kept it offline. Not much was changed. Not much can be changed, it's almost a perfect movie. Certainly my favourite Star Wars movie!

The scripts are available in internet HTML format.
I used to have them in text format, and in adobe PDF format, but I guess having them in html format is good enough (plus one screenplay kept getting messed up when I converted it to PDF).
I suggest you save the files, so you can read them offline. It may take a bit to load the pages, because they're big, around 300 kB each.
You can also download all 3 scripts (plus the synopis for each of the episodes) as a zip file. You'll need some zip/unzip utility like Winzip to open it and read the scripts.
Each script contains an intro with some helpful information.

If you first want to make sure the scripts are worth reading, or if you don't feel like reading the entire script, but simply want to know what I came up with, you can read a synopsis (detailed summary) for each of the episodes.
