Marguerite's Cut-Scene Dressing Gown

Costume Description
This costume was cut from the movie, so we only have this single picture of the dressing gown (see picture #1). The dressing gown is very similar in shape to Rodmilla's Dressing Gown and Queen Marie's Night Gown. Gold woven with two inch border in patterned red and gold fabric (brocade?). Rolled collar. Full upper sleeves of striped fabric (also red and gold), tight lower sleeve of patterend red and gold fabric. Worn with a white chemise (possibly the one worn with her Marketplace Gown?) and what looks like a short bodice similar to the underbodice worn by Danielle with her Gypsy Camp Outfit. See pictures #2-3.

Historical Reference
Thanks to the cosprop.co.uk concept sketches, we know for certain that the vast majority of the costumes in Ever After were inspired by historical paintings, e.g., Danielle's Princess Gown, Danielle's Blue Library Gown, Jacqueline's Green Brocade Gown. We've been able to identify many of the paintings seen in these concept sketches, but since we don't have sketches for each costume, we have to speculate for some. However, we've been unable to find historical reference for Marguerite's Dressing Gown - know of any paintings with similarities? Email me.

Linkage
None yet - have a costume you'd like me to link? Email me.
