This stamp issue celebrates the tenth anniversary of the ICIS, the "United Nations" of the Fifth World. It was overprinted by letterpress using a Heidelberg platen press by the Free Vinland Government Press, Berenku. The stamps are perf 12. To view the special First Day Cover, click here. Note that this issue is peculiar in that the stamps do not indicate the new name of the country, but still show the old colony name, West Vinland. This became a major scandal at the time. The scandal was made worse as the postmarks in the two main towns (Berenku, the capital, and Ontywey, the former colonial capital) still had their old colonial name shown! However, after the issue of the new definitives with the new country name in July, the 15c value was overprinted to become part of this set, as 15c was the main local rate.
