This stamp issue celebrates the signing of the Peace Treaty that ended the long and unwelcome war on the island. The Treaty, brokered by the ICIS, was signed at Mabus, the capital of Liegerland, and it formally established Free Vinland and Liegerland as independent states, each recognising the other, and admitted both lands to the ICIS.
