This set of stamps celebrates the re-opening of the national steam railway network, VINRAIL, which serves both countries on the island of New Vinland. The railway which is noted for many engineering achievements such as the giant arched stone viaduct at Moulins, shown on the $1.35 stamp, was originally built in 1991, but subsequently destroyed in the war. When peace was restored, re-construction began again, and both countries collaborated to complete it. Similar stamps were issued by Liegerland: to see their issue, please click here. The stamps were printed by the Imperial Government Printing Office (KDPN), Baleksetung, Occussi-Ambeno, on white gloss paper. They are perf 12. To view the special First Day Cover, click here.
