Rules & Regulations

All participants must wear an approved, properly fitted full-face BMX helmet or a regular helmet that is approved by the FRI, gloves, and elbow/knee pads during warm-up and racing.  Large pants such as wide legged or pants that will interfere with the crank star are prohibited.  Proper pants or jeans must be worn and approved by FRI BS Inspectors.  T-shirts may not be worn, long sleeve shirts only must be worn during a warm up or race.  All clothes must be in good condition, neat, and clean.  Shoes with shoelaces must be tucked in the shoes when racing and warm up.    Participants are responsible to the FRI BS Inspectors while in the inspection area and are subject to disqualification if they leave without his/her approval.

A participant may not be on the course during or interfere with a current event for which they have not registered. Only participants duly registered in an event may warm up on the course.
Participants may be penalized for misconduct, unsportsmanlike or disrespectful behavior towards others.  Penalties will either range from disqualification to suspension through the event or season.  Disqualified and suspended participants may not collect an entry fee refund.
A bicycle must accompany participants at all times while participating. If a participant crashes while trying to finish an event, they may walk/run/carry their bicycle over the finish line to receive their placing.

A bicycle may be stripped of parts to reduce weight but must still function as supposed to.  Taking off parts include kickstand, reflectors, or pegs. The handle bar, seat, wheel, and front fork may be replaced for a lighter part but must still function properly.  PEGS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE BICYCLE WHILE PARTICIPTING IN AN EVENT.  Mudguards may be installed on the bike.  Padding on the bike tubes is acceptable.

Drag Racing Regulations
Bicycles must have fully functional front and rear brakes.  Rollers may be modified to the rear end of the bicycle frame to reduce wheelie height when powering off the line.  If using a smaller wheel up front, it must have the correct fork with functional brakes.  Any combination of tire tread is acceptable.  Studded tires are prohibited.  Long sleeve shirts, pants, gloves, a BMX helmet and all necessary padding must be worn while racing and warm-up.

Rally Cup & Cycle-X Regulations
Bicycles must have fully functional front and rear brakes.  Any combination of tire tread is acceptable.  Studded tires are only allowed in the Rally Cup dirt stages.
Participants who are entering the Rally Cup must be in teams of 3 and must compete in the same class.  All bicycles must be the same brand and must meet the regulations.  Long sleeve shirts, pants, gloves, a BMX helmet and all necessary padding must be worn while racing and warm-up.

Free Lap Policy
Free laps are only in effect if there is a mechanical failure, puncture to the tire or loosen nuts and bolts and approved by an FRI Inspector.  A free lap will not be in effect for a crash & burn (meaning a participant losing control or crashing).  Cycle-X is the only event, which provides free laps.

The Rally Cup does not provide free laps but provides a limit of 3 pre-runs before the actual run.  The Drag Racing event will not allow free laps due to warm up runs and bracket racing.

Insurance Policy
Medical insurance is not provided and is the sole responsibility of the participant.  If you get bodily injured during a race or practice runs you are responsible for yourself, meaning you are not able to sue or prosecute any other spectators, participants, judges, inspectors, or the owner of (FRI) FuJi Racing International.
