Step 1) Download the patch for your version of the game.

• Download patch for the North American version of the game.
• Download patch for the European (includes UK English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian) version of the game.
• Download patch for the Asian/Pacific (includes Korean, Thai & Traditional Chinese) version of the game.
• Download patch for the Simplified Chinese version of the game.
• Download patch for the Japanese version of the game.

Step 2) Locate and run the patch file. You do not have to have the patch file in your SimCity directory in order for the patch to function.

Step 3) Verify your game has been patched. If your game is patched, all of the following files will have 2003 timestamps, not 2002:

• SimCity 4.exe
• SimCity_1.dat
• SimCity_2.dat
• SimCity_3.dat
• SimCity_4.dat
• SimCity_5.dat

If all of the files do not have 2003 timestamps on them, uninstall SimCity 4, then reinstall and rerun the patch program.

Here is a list of what is fixed in the patch:

• Fixed crash related to conflict between MySim and Transportation Pack.
• Fixed crash related to SIS video chipsets.
• Fixed several broken links in advisor messages.
• Fixed car zots to display properly.
• Fixed bug where the catalog was showing the incorrect capacity for the Recycling Center.
• Fixed bug where industry development would occur even when commuters could not reach the zone.
• Added support forATI Radeon R300 series that add backing store capability.
• Added option to turn off auto-road when zoning behavior by holding the shift-key while zoning.
• Added option to change orientation of lots when zoning by holding the alt-key while zoning.
• Added whales.
• Retuned pollution values for airports and seaports.
• Port efficiency is now displayed correctly.
• Airport upgrading now works correctly (based on current use).
• Freight trains can now drop cargo at ports.
• New zone graphics now better indicate the front of lots.
