How does one make his story Informative yet Entertaining?

  • Write the lead that will bring the readers into the story.
  • Give a personal background on the person being featured to welcome and attract the reader to read. Give vital background information by describing the subject vividly with sensory images.
  • Pay attention to details like how a person answers questions.
  • Write clear concise sentences.
  • Always prepare an outline and use a thread to connect the lead, the body and the conclusion by using transition words.
  • Use dialogue when possible.
  • Touch the sentiment of readers by using a drama angle.
  • Remember the taking on an angle starts with the interview.
  • Write only on the things you know or you feel strongly about.
  • Adapt your own writing style to the theme of the story. You may use a confession or narrative format.
  • Be sensitive with the results of the conversation.
  • Be creative.
  • Experience life and love and everything once in your life.
