History : 

Lives alone in the kamiya Dojo before Kenshin-gumi came. her father was the founder of kamiya Kassin ryuu kendo technique. She took his place when her father was died. Dr. Genzai and his granddaughters always visiting Kaoru as often as they can. When Kenshin into her life, she never feels lonely again ever since. An then at the end of manga she finally married to Kenshin and had a son named Kenji.
