In the year of 1777 we find him exercising the office of Inquirer and Accountant [Inquiridor e Contador] of the Prince Town [Vila do Príncipe], MG, Brazil, at expenses of the Royal Treasury [Real Fazenda], office that he exercised al least since 1772. In the years of 1790 and 1791, we find him as Sugar-Cane Landlord [Senhor de Engenho], in the Prince Town [Vila do Príncipe], MG, Brazil, manifesting that he had not produced brandy [aguardente] inthe years of 1789 and 1790, represented by his procurator, the son-in-law Captain Domingos Pereira Guimarães.

In 1798, we found two of his "forro" (ex-slaves): João Francisco Guedes, freed [forro], son of Lauriana Pereira Guedes, freed [forra], marrying with Lusia Ribeira da Costa, natural daughter of Anna Maria Ribeira, that was slave of Josefa Ribeira da Costa, on 14th/Nov/1798.

Would this be one of his ex-slaves? After, later, in the years of 1753 to 1757, we found another "Antônio Pereira Guedes" paying the gold fifht [quinto], sending the payments through people that lived in many localities, as Tejuco Village [Arraial do Tejuco], Gouveia Village [Arraial da Gouveia], Arassuaí Acima, Água Suja, but one cannot affirm or deny that this would be himself.
