First I have to show off my two sweeties...Zoe..and Samantha...Zoe is the black and white cat...and her ears aren't really that big...there is a shadow behind her...*LOL*...Samantha is the latest addition to the houshold...she's a tiger/calico combination...and although going on a year old now...always into mischief..and leading Zoe right along with her...*L*
My love for felines came about when I was 4 or 5 years old, and my parents decided I was old enough to have a pet other than the gold fish I had received from someone on my birthday that jumped out of the fishbowl (you know the rest of the story...*L*). Anyhow, back to the cat, she came from some neighbors...I got to pick which kitten I wanted, and chose a calico tabby and named her Mittens. Needless to say, at that age, I assumed she was just another "toy" to amuse myself with, and the poor thing had to put up with being dressed in doll clothes...and me attempting to push her around in a stroller...*L* The worst thing I remember doing, unknown to my parents of course...was to throw her in my wading pool on a few occassions to make my friends laugh...I think I may have matured a little since then...*L* From that point on, cats have been a part of my life. My most exciting "cat moment" was when I was allowed the privilege to pet a full grown cougar, it purred and rubbed against my hand like a sweet little kitten.
