THE BIG MATCH : LIVERPOOL VS. MANCHESTER UNITED

30.11.02                                                                                                                                       Previous Page          Next Page

Hopefully the victory against Vitesse marks as a turnaround for the fortune of Liverpool.  Glad to see Baros partnering Owen in attack and laying the goal for him.  Great!  Let’s hope he get the chance against the scums (Man U) as he will be our secret weapon compared to the usual combination of Owen and Heskey.

GH sprang a surprise by putting Henchoz back which proved to be a correct decision with us keeping a clean sheet.  Henchoz played one half in a reserve match earlier in the week and made a crucial tackle that started a Liverpool goal.   GH must have seen that Henchoz is both physically and mentally fit for the game.

Most Liverpool fans, I believe, have stood by Dudek and I am glad that GH stood by him too.  The clean sheet will give the Dude massive confidence for the match on Sunday.  GH mentioned in the official website that he is happy with Kirkland’s response when he told both keepers that he would stand by Dudek.  Great Decision!  Kirkland would appreciate that as he knows that when he gets his chance, GH would also stand by him should he endure the same bad patch that the Dude was facing.

Hamann should be back to whack the scums’ backside after being rested.  Riise has not been in good form recently, more because GH played him at left back rather than left midfield, I think.  With Traore now switched back to left back.  Will Riise get his chance at left midfield?  Come on, not Heskey again!??  Even Berger is a better choice than Heskey!  Wait!  Where do you put Carragher?  Right back?  Probably, if Babbel is not fit enough yet.  Poor Carragher, couldn’t find a place in the team although he would run through a brick wall for Liverpool.  Don’t worry, he will get his chance again.

We have so many choices for each position that even Slur Alex is jealous of us.  He knows that he doesn’t have the same depth as us.  What if both v. Nistelrooy and Solskjaer got injured?  Who is going to score the goals for them?  The “Forlan” talent?  Ha ha!

Silvestre has been keeping quiet these days after saying he would blow us away in the first of their 5 losses to us 2 seasons ago.  Rumour was going on that GH wants to sign him when his contract ends this season.  No way!  He snubbed GH seasons ago and GH would remember that.

Many pundits are predicting the score against us but what is my prediction for the weekend?  Hopefully Liverpool will keep their winning run against the scums. Baros Baros Baros! And Hail Dudek!
